ATTORNEY AND COUNSELOR AT LAW

Areas of Practice

School Law

Business Law
The legal process in education law can be very complex. You will need a lawyer to help guide you through the complicated process. Do not attempt to take on any Board of Education without a lawyer by your side who is experienced in school law. There is no question that the Board of Education will have an attorney that is on top of the school law process. A lawyer experienced in education law will be able to use the school codes for his client's advantage. I have represented children and their families throughout the education process. Whether it be at 504 accommodation meetings, IEP meetings or actions to ensure that the accommodations under the American Disability Act are enforced for your child, I can guide you through the process. My job is to hold the school district accountable and to ensure that your child's rights under the law are not ignored by the school or the school district.

I have also represented a number of teachers and staff employees from various school districts in safeguarding their contractual rights in disciplinary hearings, termination proceedings and contract negotiations. Do not let the school district bully you through the process. The HR (Human Resources) Department will take advantage of your lack of knowledge of the law, and will utilize an unequal bargaining process to force you into an undesirable position. I can help level the playing field and put you on a more equal footing with the school district during negotiations.

As the son of an educator and the husband of a school teacher, I know all too well how school districts take advantage of their employees.
